Richard Jackson

Mr. Jackson has a robust career path in administration, educational instruction, and policy making. Having taught math at the high school and college level, he was a postgraduate studies award recipient from the National Science Foundation. He served as a member of the Education Committee of the NAACP and Board of Directors of the United Way of Westchester. Mr. Jackson served as New York State Commissioner of Motor Vehicles and was the first African-American city mayor in New York State history in 1984. He is the recipient of the 2018 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching and has joined the faculty at RCA.

Steve Nordhauser

Mr. Steve Nordhauser graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor's and Master's in electrical engineering. He has published peer reviewed articles and holds various patents. He has extensive experience in industry with embedded hardware and firmware design, project management, product development, electromechanical design, CAD, CNC, motor control, camera control, video processing, and data acquisition.

Mr. Nordhauser currently heads RCA's Makerspace program and considers himself a lifelong maker since age ten. He has published eight Instructables with over 140,000 views. He is a Creator and Zone Coordinator for the Tech Valley Center of Gravity in downtown Troy. He was a coordinator of the League of Extraordinary Prototypers and is a member of the Rapid Prototyping Center development group. In addition to volunteering with RCA staff development, Mr. Nordhauser will be teaching 3D printing with Tinkercad, vinyl cutting, building a computer, experimenting with an oscilloscope, intro to electronics, and more. He is also experienced in grant writing.

Loret Dwyer

Loret Dwyer comes to Redemption Christian Academy with NYS educational certification and experience in elementary and junior high education. She has Professional Literacy certification and has worked with students on their reading skills. Mrs. Dwyer also has a background in art and experience with extracurricular programs.
