|Soup for Seniors is a community outreach program started by Redemption Church of Christ. Twice a month students from RCA and members from RCC come together to prepare, package, and deliver soup meals to seniors. We deliver close to 300 meals throughout the Watervliet and Troy area. Through this program students have the opportunity to interact with the senior citizens in the community.|
|Help cultivate tomorrow's leaders! Redemption Christian Academy is one of only four remaining traditionally African American boarding schools in the nation. RCA was founded in 1979 by Rev. John Massey, Jr. who believed that in the right environment anyone can achieve academic excellence. RCA has a diverse student body from around the world. |
Diverse volunteer opportunities are available: teachers, teacher's aides, domestic missionaries, mentors, administrators, marketing, information technology, librarians, administrative assistants, mechanics, drivers, receptionists, dorm advisors, sports director, activities director, preschool staff, community development specialists, architects, engineers, bookkeepers, accountants, data entry, fund developers, grants writers, musicians, artists, photographers, food service personnel, bakers, nurses, physicians, writers, printers, construction workers, maintenance staff, grounds keepers, and agriculture/animal husbandry.
